A Good Year for the Outlaw

Just When You Thought There Weren’t Any More Styles Of Music…

goofy fun

…I’ve stumbled on another one.

While dining at the Sirloin Stockade in Canton Friday with my main salesman Bill, we noticed a marquee across the street at the KFC that simply said “Wednesday: Gizzard Liver”.

That’s all it said. We stared at it for a bit and Bill said, “sounds like a band is playing at KFC.”

I said, “yeah, Gizzard Liver…they play a combination of Polka and Country, it’s called…”

(wait for it)

“…Pol-try.”

I mean, where else but KFC could you hear a “poltry” band?

Billy, I don’t know where this stupid frickin’ avatar came from, but it won’t let me delete it. You have something to do what that? Get rid of it, can ya? Thanks.

As we used to say here in Galesburg every time we’d see something like that or could put two words together in an unfair way, “I think they’re a new Galesburg band.”
