A Good Year for the Outlaw

Anybody Looking For A Driver’s Ed Teacher?

Driving

Because I think instruction around here is getting pretty lax.

If you are a young driver (or, apparently most any driver educated in Illinois), please note:

1. When driving at night on a hilly country road, it is customary, even favorable, to dim your lights before you crest a hill when you can obviously see the glow of lights coming from the opposite direction.

2. When being passed at night, it is not only favorable, but MANDATORY to dim your lights so the driver of the car that has just gone around you doesn’t become the subject of a Bruce Springsteen written/Manfred Mann performed, 7 1/2 minute rock song.

3. When you don’t do either 1. or 2. above, it is INEVITABLE that you will someday rot in hell.
