OK, as a Red Sox fan, I want to like the Cubs… For a while I did but they lost me during the June, 2005 interleague series at Wrigley. The first homerun hit by a Red Sox player in Wrigley park for almost 100 years… gets thrown back onto the field?? I think this shows a huge amount of disrespect for the game. The attitude is “nothing any other team does is of value if it hurts the Cubs”. Most fans care more about their team than about baseball in general, and that’s fine. But Cubs fans don’t seem to care about baseball at all, they only care about the Cubs. I think you all need to take a hard look in the mirror.
